Just two quick things before I disappear for the weekend with the family:
1. Lynette Anderson is having a giveaway of a pattern for a lovely trio of her redwork designs. Just leave a comment and she'll put you in the draw. But then you have to cross your fingers that I win!!
2. Tonya has been talking with some people at the American Quilters Society (about her book, perhaps?) and the subject of republishing Gwen Marstons Liberated Quiltmaking Book was discussed. According to Tonya, the editors at AQS said "Here’s what would help: AQS would like to know how many people would commit to pre-ordering an exact reprint priced at $36 or so. If you would capture this information among Gwen’s fans, say in the next couple of weeks or however long it takes you to ask around, and pass it along to me, we’ll take a look at the idea."
So if you would be willing to buy a copy of a reprint, PLEASE email Tonya or leave a comment on her blog!
My plans for the weekend:
Nag DH until he mows the yard
Work on my pincushion for a swap that needs to be mailed by July 7th
Quilt the Pineapple Blossom Quilt
Finish the June Stitcheries for Lynette's Noah's Ark BOM and Bea's BOM.
Take DH out for breakfast on Father's Day

nope, it's all been about Gwen. I can't believe the book isn't available when I know there is a market for it. thanks for passin along the word!
I hope they will re-issue that book. I really want a copy and don't want to pay so much for it.
