Thursday sewing

So while I had my "mom's day off" yesterday, I did some useful things, like put away a mountain of laundry, pair up a thousand and three socks, get the grocery shopping done, etc. But I also made sure to take some time to play...I decided that since I can't go to my guilds sewing day next Saturday for National Quilting Day, I would work on the community service project and make a few pillowcases, an even dozen, actually. And the best part is that this is little bit over 12 yards of fabric busted from the stash!!

First I made one for Thing One and one for my 6 year old neice, plus two like this to donate to the ConKerrCancer.org groupConKerrCancer.org

Then I made two of these:

Then two of these these:

Then one of each of these:

what a great assortment of fabric you got out of your stash... And the recipients will really appreciate the bright cheerful pillowcases I'm sure :-)
